OFFICIAL CHAPTERS

These are not agencies that provide services, but volunteers who many times have full-time jobs but spend their free time trying to bring about prison reform. They need help and $! Please Volunteer & Give!

Because many times the phone bills are paid out of their own pockets, please do not call them or the National CURE office collect.

Finally, each chapter has to comply with ten requirements by December 31, 2004. These ten are (1) respond to inquiries in a timely manner as resources permit (2) update membership to National CURE at least quarterly (3) incorporate as a nonprofit organization (4) send a representative to national meetings as resources permit (5) establish a board of directors that meets at least semiannually (6) create a membership brochure for distribution (7) publisha newsletter at least semiannually as resources permit (8) have at least on membership meeting each year for state chapters and every other year for issue chapters (9) send minutes of chapter meetings to National CURE and (10) obtain tax exempt or 501(c) 3 status.
